Kanawehimikot Group Home Ltd. is an Alberta-based residential group home provider serving children and youth who require safe, supportive, and structured care. Our homes are designed to provide stability, healthy routines, supervision, and connection while respecting each youth’s background, family, culture, and case plan.

Our team works in partnership with placing agencies to ensure communication, documentation, incident reporting, and daily care planning are handled professionally and responsibly.

24/7 Supervision
Our homes operate with 24-hour staffing and supervision, including day and night shift coverage to support youth safety and consistency.

Individualized Support
Care is adapted to each youth’s needs, referral goals, safety plan, behavioural supports, and agency expectations.

Trauma-Informed Practice
Staff are expected to provide calm, respectful, and structured support that helps youth feel safe and understood.

Cultural Connection
We value cultural identity, family connection, community involvement, and respectful programming that supports belonging.

Homes in Alberta
We operate homes serving Alberta children and youth, including locations in Ponoka and South Edmonton.

Ages 0–17
We accept referral inquiries for children and youth ages 0–17, based on fit, staffing needs, safety planning, and placement requirements.

We can provide our program summary, Schedule A, intake form, licensing information, and placement details to agencies considering a referral.
